Tom Petsinis
 
Tom Petsinis is a poet, playwright and novelist. Born in 1953 in Macedonia, Greece, he immigrated to Australia as a child. He grew up in Fitzroy, attended Fitzroy High School, and studied mathematics at the University of Melbourne. After some years as a secondary school teacher, he went on to complete his MA and PhD, and presently works as a mathematics lecturer at Victoria University, in Melbourne.
 
Tom’s published work includes six collections of poetry, five plays, three novels and a collection of short stories. He is the recipient of a number of awards, residencies, fellowships and short-listings. He has participated in Australia’s major literary festivals and several prestigious international festivals. His fiction has been widely translated. 
 
Forthcoming works include the novels Plato’s Number and Fog.
 
Tom lives in Melbourne with his wife and two daughters.
